Power Pages sits inside the Microsoft Power Platform, giving it native connections to Dataverse, Power BI, Power Automate, and Azure AD. If your business already runs on Microsoft 365, a Power Pages portal is a simple way of connecting your internal data to external users without custom middleware or a complex integration layer.
Australian businesses use our Power Pages portals for everything from customer self-service to supplier management. We've seen what works and what doesn't, speak with one of our consultants to find the best fit for you.
Power Pages best assets
Customer self-service, partner login areas, job applications, event registrations, virtually anything where external users need controlled access to your data.
Forms that write directly to Dataverse tables, trigger Power Automate flows, and update records without a developer touching the backend.
Publish live dashboards to authenticated users on your site, scoped by their role. Easily dictate role-based access to data and powerful analytics and dashboard visualisations.
Table permissions, column permissions, and web roles let you control exactly what each user can see and do, down to individual records and the finest details.
The most common reason clients come to us is that they have data sitting in Dataverse (or Dynamics 365) and they want external users such as customers, suppliers, or contractors to be able to view and interact with it through a website.
Power Pages handles this without custom APIs or middleware. We configure the data connection through Dataverse table permissions, and the platform takes care of the rest, authentication, filtering by user, and enforcing what each role can read or write.
You can also pull in data from external sources using virtual tables or Power Automate integrations.
Talk to us about your dataThere are three prominent ways to surface data visually inside a Power Pages portal, ranging from zero-code embedded reports to fully custom JavaScript visuals.
Power Pages supports embedded Power BI reports, so authenticated users can see live dashboards without leaving your portal. You control which reports show to which roles.
Reports are embedded using the Power BI embedded API. Row-level security in Power BI maps to your portal web roles, so the same report serves multiple user types with each seeing only their permitted data.
Power Pages inherits Microsoft’s security model, which is one of its strongest arguments for enterprise use. Access is controlled at four distinct layers, each one independently configurable.

Authentication options include Azure AD for internal users or B2B, Azure AD B2C for external customer accounts, and a range of social and federated identity providers. Local contact authentication is also available for simpler username/password setups.

Microsoft has added Copilot features to Power Pages in recent releases. The ones below are genuinely useful in practice. We help clients figure out which capabilities are worth using for their specific situation.
Describe a page or section in plain language and Copilot drafts a layout. Useful for getting a starting point, however you will still need to refine it.
Good for scaffolding. Not a replacement for design decisions.
Describe the data you want to collect and Copilot generates a form connected to a Dataverse table. Saves time on routine portal builds.
Works well for standard field types. Complex validation still needs manual configuration.
Power Pages sites can embed Copilot Studio bots for on-site chat and FAQ handling. These can be grounded on your own data.
Powerful when the bot is well-scoped. A poorly configured bot creates support work, not savings.
We work with businesses across Australia, mostly remotely. Most Power Pages projects do not need anyone on site, screen sharing and good documentation cover it.
Microsoft support & trainingFor well-defined projects, we scope the work and give you a number before we start. No surprises mid-project, no scope creep that quietly doubles the bill.
We document requirements clearly before any work begins. You sign off on scope before we write a line of code.
For ongoing help, quick builds, or situations where the scope is still being worked out. Billed in hourly increments with no minimum commitment.
Suits businesses that need expert hands available without locking into a project.
We can look after sites after launch. Ongoing updates, new features, user issues, and anything that breaks. Most of our Power Pages clients stay with us long term for peace of mind.
Available on a retained or ad-hoc basis. We keep documentation current so your team is never dependent on us for basic answers.
We can run sessions for your team covering the Power Pages studio, content management, and day-to-day admin. Pitched at the right level for your staff.
Delivered remotely or on site. We tailor the session to your portal, your roles, and your team's current skill level.
This is a critical decision point, because the answer is not always Power Pages. Both paths have real trade‑offs and we help with both. Our developers work within a huge variety of programming languages, frameworks and platforms. Every project is unique and we are here to help you find the right solution.

Custom development takes longer and costs more upfront, but you own the result outright. Power Pages is faster to stand up but you are working within Microsoft’s boundaries, pricing, and roadmap. Neither is the wrong answer, it simply depends on what you are building and how your business is set up.
